Dear YOU,
Did you feel the heat this summer? You might be surprised to know that temperatures reached over 120 degrees in some U.S. cities, and that this was the hottest summer ever recorded!
Extreme heat is the #1 weather-related killer, but some groups—outdoor workers, children, older adults, pregnant women, people with low incomes, and communities of color—are at much higher risk of heat-related illnesses and deaths.
CAP's extreme heat series lays out actions you, your communities, and your policymakers can take to protect these at-risk populations from the dangers of extreme heat, and to reduce the pollution that causes climate change.
But that's not all:
Join us on September 18th at 2pm ET for a virtual conversation with policymakers, local leaders, and experts in worker safety and child development, to discuss progress on combatting extreme heat and the many opportunities to better protect communities.
